Here is the Washington Post's Mensa Invitational which once again asked
readers to take any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding,
subtracting, or changing one letter, and supply a new definition. Here are
the 2009 winners:

1. Cashtration (n.): The act of buying a house, which renders the
subject financially impotent for an indefinite period of time.

2. Ignoranus: A person who's both stupid and an asshole.

3.. Intaxication: Euphoria at getting a tax refund, which lasts until
you realize it was your money to start with.

4. Reintarnation: Coming back to life as a hillbilly.

5. Bozone ( n.): The substance surrounding stupid people that stops
bright ideas from penetrating. The bozone layer, unfortunately, shows
little sign of breaking down in the near future.

6. Foreploy: Any misrepresentation about yourself for the purpose
of getting laid.

7. Giraffiti: Vandalism spray-painted very, very high.

8. Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the
Person who doesn't get it.

9. Inoculatte: To take coffee intravenously when you are running
late.

10. Osteopornosis: A degenerate disease. (This one got extra
credit.)

11. Karmageddon: It's like, when everybody is sending off all these
really bad vibes, right? And then, like, the Earth explodes and it's like,

your bedroom at three in the morning and cannot be cast out.

in the fruit you're eating.

...is the cracktastic first season of the Super Hero Squad! OMG! i can't stop laughing. i don't know who created it but i want to kiss them!

the epi i'mwatching right now has Ms. Marvel hit with a love spell, intended for Thor by the Enchantress, and now she's in love ith M.O.D.O.K. and Thor, without help from any magic (poor bastard), is trying to pick up Valkyrie.

PLUS Wolverine, voice by Steve Blum, is teasing Iron Man for having a crush on Ms. Marvel.

Talking with Eric the landlord right now. He said he inspected the sheet rock & said the black stuff in the sheet rock was dirt not mold. Eric is saying if i'm uncomfortable, we can work something out to release me from my lease.

Currently not sure what to do. financially, i'm in no shape to move. between rent, car payments, utilities, food, & paying down my credit card, i have no breathing room.

Naruto is this adorable stray cat/kitten that roams around my studio. i call him Naruto because he's the same color as my friend tricianna's cat that has the exact same coloring. her cat is called called Renji Uzamaki.

Tonight i want to do my laundry. Hell, who am i kidding! i NEED to do laundry. However, Naruto has parked his furry ass on my front step ... literally. He's meowing right now outside my door. Whenever i open the door, Naruto tries to enter my home. i can't have a cat because 1) sister is allergic & 2) my lease forbids pets.

guess i gotta wait him out, but i really don't want to be doing laundry around midnight. *sigh*

Been jonesing for some 80s tunes ...

December 2001: the first week my uncle Hy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. the second week my Bubbie (dad & Hy's mother) was diagnosed with lung cancer. December 24th my dad was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a blood cancer.

Uncle Hy died March 7, 2008 from cancer. his wife, Aunt Mona, died this past August from an enlarged heart. that was a surprise to the whole family. no one expected her death.

this morning i read an email from parents saying my cousin Melissa, Hy & Mona's daughter, was diagnosed with bladder cancer.

WTF?!?!?!?!?! hasn't my family been through enough?

these are moment i look up at Heaven and doubt the Merciful Goddess. i can't see how this new slam on my family can be seen as a good thing.

That's right; i'm working on a Sunday. The weekend is the only way i can accomplish work on a specific project. The project: physically move AP's 2006 & 2007 files into the correct storage containers for off site storage.

Nice way to spend the weekend, huh? @_@

last week, a new carpet was installed; yay! it's so nice to walk to the closet and bathroom without getting my feet wet from the rain damage.

called the Eric the landlord this past Thursday to learn when Oscar the handyman would take care of the ceiling. no response.

to say the least, i'm irked about this. i will call Eric today to see if he has ANY news for me.

did i mention you can see the black mold in the sheet rock in the ceiling?

thanks to this state of disrepair, i can't bring myself to get any more furniture for my place because it will most likely have to be moved for the ceiling repair. also i fear that, while the repair occurs,more problems will be discovered. if my fear becomes fact, i want to be able to move outta there ASAP with minimal hassle.

I got hoodwinked by Comcast, the bastards!

When i signed up, i was told about a deal for cable & internet that cost only $80. I asked if the cable package included BBC America & all the HBO channels. The woman i spoke with said yes, it did. i was sold & said, "Sign me up."

the cable came over 9am yesterday morning & installed everything. i had HBO then. last night, however, i didn't. i was on hold for 45 minutes until i got someone who told me my package didn't include HBO.

this monring i ordered HBO. now my Comcast bill is $100 a month.

so my landlord let the carpet cleaner into my place yesterday & learned first hand the extent of water damage on the carpet. he called to let me know that Oscar the handyman had misled him about the damage. he said they needed to air out the matting underneath the carpet, so Oscar will be over today to cut out the damaged section of carpet and put in a fan to start drying the matting out. also he said that next Tuesday he will have the carpet replaced. all i gotta do is remove EVERYTHING in my closet to the new carpeting can be laid there as well.

could be worse, right? this all could have happened once i had more furniture in the place or the leak could have dripped water all over my bed.

*sigh* at least it's the weekend & i'll finally have cable & internet installed.

Anyone know where i can request a new layut for my blog? i'm tired of the current one i have.

brrghtside:i spoke with my landlord and hopefully the roof & thus the leak in the ceiling will be taken care of when i get home tonight.

Just one question: Shouldn't Dr. Horrible be wearing a red coat instead of white?
