A friend at work turned me on to her boyfriend's band Barcelona. Barcelona is releasing a record with their label Universal/Motown on April 28th. Okay, i'm the sort of person who gets invited to bible study groups while the woman next to me gets hit on by the cute guy. Sadly i've accepted this part of my life. Part of this acceptance is smiling at the person who invited me to join and asking which wiccan bible they use.

Tonight @ Wallgreens I said good evening to the cashier and placed my items on the counter. the cashier's name was Brian. He had a salt & pepper beard & mustache was more salt than pepper as was his sparse hair. Brian then proceeds to tells me the following:

I hears on the news this story. Back in the 70s this guy killed his next door neighbor because he thought the guy was fooling around with his wife. The guy was a suspect, but the police never got enough evidence to prove he did it. Now the guy is in his 80s and thought he was dying, so he confessed ... to the police. The guy got better and is now on trial for his neighbor's murder.

I mentioned how there is no time limit on murder, so the guy will be spending his remaining years behind bars. Then grabbed my bag & left.

But WTF?!?!?!? Why did Brian decide to share this bit of miscellaneous crap with me? I'm not wearing a "I HEART MURDERERS" tee. Hell, I was in my work clothes: a polo shirt & jeans. What is it about me that causes this?

Sting Making Red Wine in Tuscany

ROME: After singing of "Fields of Gold," British rock star Sting is tending fields of grapes as he prepares to market red wine made at his country estate in Tuscany.

Some 30,000 bottles of wine produced on the property will go on sale in September, mainly in Britain and the United States, Paolo Rossi, the estate's manager, said Thursday.

In 1997 the former Police frontman purchased a 16th-century villa, called Il Palagio, in Figline Valdarno, a small village some 30 kilometres south of Florence.

Over the years he has turned the surrounding 350 hectares into an organic farm that also produces honey, olive oil, fruit, vegetables and Tuscan salami.

"When I came here to Figline I wanted first of all to feed my family," Sting said Tuesday during an event at the village where the 57-year-old star spoke of the time he spends at Il Palagio.

"I also wanted to use agriculture with practices that would nourish the land and not deplete the land and so we went to traditional methods with farming, we got rid of pesticides, we shunned monoculture, and it works, the farm is also a garden," he said in the remarks broadcast by local television Rtv38.

Rossi did not reveal the name of the upcoming wine. He said it will be a 2007 vintage based on the Sangiovese grape, with a touch of Cabernet and Merlot.

A 2008 Chianti could also go on sale in the fall, but tests on the wine's aging must be conducted before a decision is made, Rossi said.

The wine, along with other products made on the Sting farm, will also be available at a shop on the property that the singer will inaugurate by June, Rossi said.
